Firearms Training
Zero 5 provides firearms training at multiple levels to get your church’s Safety Team confident in their ability to respond to an active attack with their firearms.
Essentials:
This course builds the foundational skills to not only be a good shooter, but to handle a weapon in a gunfight in any place or situation. Shooters will learn safe weapon handling habits that become second nature under duress (aim/engage, reloading, remedial action, and movement). Shooters will also be taught simple, daily dryfire drills that reinforce these skills and build unconscious competence.
Finally, shooters will learn first shot and follow-up skills that increase the shooter’s odds of ending a threat quickly and minimizing injury to innocents. Shooters must demonstrate confidence and proficiency in the Essential skills before being eligible to move on to the next level of training.
$100/person
Defensive:
This course builds upon the skills learned in the Essentials course by adding drawing from the holster, footwork in a ballistic environment, target identification and discernment, and engagement decision-making (where to shoot, what angle to shoot from, and potential backstop considerations). The desired outcome of the Defensive class is a shooter who is a thinking shooter who has a built-in thought pattern on when, how, and where to engage a threat; rather than a purely reactionary shooter.
Shooters must demonstrate proficiency in Defensive skills and concepts before moving on to Operational Pistol.
$100/person
Operator:
This course introduces team dynamics to the ballistic environment through scenario training built around possible scenarios and dimensional measurements of the campus in which they serve. The intent is for teammates to build confidence in their own decision-making and engagement skills as well as those of their team. It also helps identify shortcomings in active attack response procedures as well as drawbacks in their campus environment that must be overcome through either planning or training.
The end goal of the Operational Pistol course is to have a trained team in which shooters can operate and engage threats effectively both as individuals and as a team.

Qualification Courses:
Zero 5 will develop and run a pistol qualification course specific to your team.
